Murphy’s Law says, “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong,” and that’s exactly what happened to us. Around 10:30 p.m. last night, I noticed the house felt warmer than usual. After some late-night troubleshooting, my husband and I realized our AC had quit, right in the middle of one of the hottest stretches of the summer. My husband called Progressive around 6:45 a.m., and before 7:00 a.m. they had already called back to let us know a technician would be out that morning. We’ve been customers for over three years, and this experience reminded us why. Charlie arrived mid-morning and immediately got to work. Within minutes, he had diagnosed the problem. While the repair wasn’t inexpensive, he took the time to explain our options and helped us choose the most cost-effective solution. Because we have a baby at home and the house was heating up quickly, Progressive even moved us to the top of the priority list. Within an hour, Charlie had picked up the replacement part and was back at our home. Unfortunately, Murphy’s Law wasn’t finished with us yet, and the blower motor assembly refused to come apart. Charlie worked tirelessly and was completely honest about the situation. He explained that if they couldn’t separate the parts, they would have to order additional components that were on a lengthy backorder. Needless to say, we were pretty stressed. Then we got the call we’d been hoping for: they had successfully gotten the assembly apart, and Charlie was on his way back to finish the repair. By dinnertime, our AC was running again. Charlie was professional, transparent, determined, and never gave up when the repair became more complicated than expected. We are incredibly grateful to both him and the entire team at Progressive for taking such great care of us. Customer service like this is hard to find these days, and they’ve absolutely earned our continued business.
